Meet the Team
Ali left university in 1989 with a BA Honours degree in Accounting and Finance and joined a Manchester accountancy practice as a trainee accountant. Ali qualified with that practice before it merged with a Didsbury practice and became part of Madisons in 1994.
As director of the Didsbury branch he was responsible for the efficient running of the busy office. In 1999, the Didsbury office merged with the Withington office, which had joined Madisons in 1996.
He is involved in advising on owner-managed family businesses and projections for new and existing businesses. His broad experience has equipped him to deal with the needs of businesses of every size.
Andrew trained with a firm of city centre accountants and in 1984 moved to the Withington practice, specialising in company audits. In 1987 Andrew left the practice to work in industry and joined a large successful motor dealership as their company accountant. This provided him with a good insight of working outside the accountancy profession and in a business specific area.
During his time in industry, Andrew maintained strong links with the practice and re-joined the Withington office in 1989.
Andrew progressed within the practice and saw the office join the Madisons group before becoming a partner.
His long association with the Withington office has enabled him to forge long-standing and trusted relationships with his clients, who view him as their first point of contact regarding any financial decisions in respect of their own business affairs.
Matt obtained a BA Honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 2005, and joined Madisons shortly afterwards.
He completed his training and obtained the audit qualification with the practice and has built up a good working relationship with all the clients. Due to the success he has brought he was appointed a partner in October 2012.
Matt is the youngest of the partners at our practice and brings a modern approach, whilst also adhering to the important traditional values he learnt during training.
